Kiss the Monday BLUES Goodbye! ;)

Usually, every Monday morning...
I feel lousy and can't drag myself out of bed. And I always wonder why I feel hype on Saturday morning? Hahahha... :p
Much less battle the Morning peak hour TRAFFIC JAMS after the weekend to a GLOOMY Monday morning.
Mind you, I work at the golden triangle area of Kuala Lumpur. Huhu.

I googled "bye bye Monday Blues" and found this article..
So here are 10 fun and surprisingly easy ways to turn your Monday FROWNS to SMILES.
(Haven't try any yet... Wait till the coming Monday.. ;) )

1. DRESS YOUR BEST
- pick the best outfit you have or dress in a bright, cheery colour that suits your personality.
* it says that the profound effect will uplift the mood.

My mistake : most of the Monday, I wore BLACK. Dang!

2. HAVE A BREAKFAST TREAT
- give yourself a feast for breakfast; be it a sinful plate of nasi lemak with coffee or instead some may prefer a healthy serving of fruits and cereals.
* this helps to lighten the burden on a Monday morning.

Me: I'm not a breakfast person. :(

3. EXERCISE
- give yourself the enforphin booster that will enhance your mood with positive effects on your brain.
* aim to do it on a Monday morning to kick off your week on a positive note.

Me: OK. BYE! Pffttt....

4. RETIRE EARLIER ON THE SUNDAY NIGHT
- try to catch the additional one or two hours sleep on the night before.
* it will re-energised you and makes you ready to take on the new week in your stride.


Me: During school days pun kena hit the sack early on sunday night.. Dah keje pun kena jugak???? Haihhhhh....


5. TALK TO A FRIEND
- it is very likely that your friend is facing the dreaded Monday blues as well.
* its comforting to know that you're not alone.

Me: This has been already in my list all along. Ngeh ngeh.


6. LISTEN TO HAPPY SONG
- listen to happy hype song through your mobile or your car stereo.
* this can positively uplift your mood.

7. LAUGH AND SMILE
- research shows that even the very 'thought' of laughing raises your levels of endorphin or feel-good hormones.
* even a fake laugh provides similar benefits to a real one.

Me: :D


8. MAKE AN AFFIRMATIVE STATEMENT
- keep saying to yourself "today is a great day. I will complete all my tasks easily".
* alternatively you can stick positive messages around your computer monitor.

Me: tettttttt!!! Not working!!!

9. TAKE SHORT BREAKS
- take staggered short 10-minute break to recharge.
* it does wonders to perk you up for the rest of the day.

Me: hemmmphhh.....


10. PLAN SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR MONDAY
- meet a friend for dinner, catch a movie or gathering etc...

Me: I don't think so. Huhuhuh
