Feed A Family this Ramadhan

AN EMAIL FROM MY COUSIN:

و ﻪﺗﺎﻛﺮﺑ

I may have shared this info with some of you.

Please help circulate this.
There are about 550 refugee families residing in and around Kuala Lumpur. They come from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Pakistan, Eritrea and more recently, Syria. Fleeing from war torn lives and political persecution, they have chosen to seek refuge here in

Upon arrival, these refugees wait to be interviewed and processed by UNHCR before they are resettled in a third country, a process that takes between 5 to 10 years. In the meantime, they are unable to hold jobs due to their

The loss of income has led to a host of problems. Families struggle to put food on the table. Some children have been found to be undernourished, the women suffer from hair loss due to protein deficiency. Often the children are not able to focus at school due to hunger

"Feed a Family" is a campaign by Muslim Professionals Forum (MPF) and Young Muslims Project (YMP), in partnership with Malaysia Social Research Institute (MSRI) and Hero Market. Launched on 1 st June 2013, the campaign aims to raise RM200 worth of basic food necessities per family. Each family will be given a month's supply of rice, cooking oil, flour, milk powder, tea, sugar, lentils, pasta and more. The campaign ends

We would be very grateful and appreciative of your kind contribution in making this campaign a success. No amount is too small and every little bit will help put food on the table. This food aid will be directly delivered to the families on the weekend of 7 th July and we will be happy to furnish you with a report of the campaign upon

All contributions can be made to Muslim Professionals Forum Berhad Maybank Account 5644-2710-0073
For those who are interested to give a hand by helping to distribute the food basket on 7th July, please do contact the names in the flyer.

btw, gentle reminder, Monday is 1st Syaaban.

For Baby Ammar...

if you're a nuffnanger's i am very sure all of you dah pun baca kisah charity project for baby ammar ni kan?

kalau belum, let me copy paste the story untuk you all kat sini, ok?
(quoted from nuffnang web)

2-year-old Ammar Danish has suffered from Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) since birth. He has a hole in his heart which results in oxygenated blood and non-oxygenated blood mixing together, which in turn puts a lot of strain on his heart and lung arteries. In some cases, the hole eventually seals itself up after some time, but during a routine checkup on 11 January 2010, it was clear that that wasn’t the case with Baby Ammar and doctors pronounced surgery as being necessary to prevent the situation from growing worse.

Baby Ammar’s mother is Nuffnanger Azmaniza bt Mohamad Kamal, who blogs at http://mylife-asz.blogspot.com. When this misfortune was brought to our attention by some concerned Nuffnangers, we immediately felt compelled to do something to help a member of our community. The deposit for the surgery to close the PDA will cost RM12,000 and is a tremendous burden for Azmaniza, a full-time working mom with five children to feed.

ammar2

and, kalau korang pun nak menyokong and sama2 sudi untuk membantu baby ammar.. come come.. senang je..
below are the same steps ayu amik from nuffnang web.

1. Enable ‘Show Charity Ads’ in your Blog Manager preferences for the duration of this fundraiser. You will not be paid for displaying the ads, but the ads will greatly help to promote this cause to more people who might be willing to do something for Baby Ammar.

2. Blog about Baby Ammar’s condition, and include a link to this Nuffnang blog post so that your readers will know where to go for more information. Again, this will also do a great service to Baby Ammar by spreading the word about his condition.

3. Make a donation to Azmaniza Mohamad Kamal – 514093114912 (Maybank). Every little bit helps, so please do contribute any amount you can.

InsyaAllah, the surgery akan berlangsung on the 22nd Feb.. kita sama2 doakan funding and segalanya dipermudahkan oleh Allah SWT. Kalau you all nak baca the latest updates on Ammar and his family, you can visit his mom' blog here... http://mylife-asz.blogspot.com/

Semoga Allah memperkenankan usaha kita semua and mendengar doa kita. Amin.

Viva Palestina convoy needs your help

Salam & Good Day to all my lovely and kind readers...
Just a lil help untuk sahabat kita di Palestine.. Below entry refers..
Ayu minta jasa baik rakan2 para pembaca semua untuk sama2 'copy paste' entry di bawah ni and sebar2 kan...
(yang nak menderma, lagilah di persilakan..)
Hanya Allah yang dapat membalas jasa kalian.
Thank You.

Viva Palestina convoy needs your help

The Viva Palestina convoy is now steaming towards Egypt after facing down all efforts to delay or stop its mission to bring relief to the besieged people of Gaza.

The refusal by the government of Egypt to allow the convoy - now 200 vehicles-strong - to pass last week across the Red Sea has meant that over $2,000,000 of aid has been kept from its recipients, charities and NGOs in the Gaza Strip.

The longer, more dangerous and more expensive route imposed by the Egyptian authorities also means that it will cost hundreds of thousands of pounds more to get the aid to the needy. That is money that should be spent on the sick and hungry.

George Galloway, who inspired the launch of Viva Palestina, says:

"Viva Palestina and the major Turkish charity IHH, which is a partner in the convoy, are appealing for funds to cover the punitive costs that have been imposed on the convoy thanks to obstruction and delays that have been imposed on it.

"Millions of people have followed this epic journey hour by hour on channels such as Al Jazeera and Press TV, or through websites, twitter and email blasts.

"They will have been enraged as they saw the attempts to prevent it reaching its goal. But we know from thousands of messages and the outpouring of public reaction in the Arab and Muslim worlds that they too share the convoy participants´ determination to see the mission succeed.

"Now they, you, have a chance to help it do so. The convoy organisers are appealing for urgent funds to ensure that the additional costs are met and do not have to come from monies already pledged to help the Palestinian people directly.

"If you are inspired by this humanitarian convoy, but angry at the way it has been frustrated you now have a chance to show it.

"Please rush your donations to Viva Palestina or the IHH and send the people of Gaza a message that they are not alone as they live through the anniversary of a bombardment that claimed over 1,400 lives. Your donation will help get the aid convoy through.

"With your generosity the extra costs can be more than met and the surplus raised will go to charitable work in the Palestinian cause. What better answer could there be to those who wish this convoy ill than to rally to it and support it financially."

All donations for the emergency appeal for the Viva Palestina Gaza convoy can be made through Viva Palestina and through the IHH. Please see details below.

World Pink, World without breast cancer...

masa tengah berjalan jalan kat KLCC after membeli hadiah birthday lilD tu...ayu & Ina can't help but to stop nak tengok apa yang ada kat tengah tengah ruang legar KLCC tu.

rupa rupanya sepanjang bulan October ni, akan ada expo on breast cancer.
macam macam aktiviti ada kat sini tau. boleh buat charity. boleh shopping. boleh dengar free talks and siap ada Q&A sessions. boleh check pulak kat situ dengan doktor wanita yang disediakan.
bagus kan? sangat bagus.

these are some of the items yang boleh di shopping sambil menderma kat sini. barang barang wanita la kan.. make ups, parfumes.

the World Pink Photo Wall!!!!
apa photo wall nih?

ha! senang jer. as minimum as RM10, korang boleh menderma kat sini, and you will be given a receipt and other handouts.

so, apa nak buat dengan receipt tu kan? simpan semua handouts yang lain, and sila tunjukkan receipt tu kat the behind photo wall punya counter.
kat counter tu, akan ada someone yang jaga. dia nanti akan ambil receipt tu and acknowledge and will give you back the receipt. lepas tu, sila lah posing kat wall tu, untuk di ambil gambar.

yes, it's menderma sambil berposing. you will be given two copies of your very own picture. satu untuk photo wall, and satu lagi untuk simpanan peribadi anda.
why nak letak gamba dekat wall tu? sebagai tanda sokongan korang membanteras breast cancer lah gitu.

eh! korang betul betul boleh posing tau. jangan la berdiri tegak jer..
actually, ramai yang berdiri tegak ala menyanyi lagu NEGARAKU. but, ayu selamba tanya that photog..
"can i strike a pose or i just stand like what everyone is doing?"
and dia jawab:
"you can pose at your own liking. not a problem."

terus lepas tu, semua yang behind me fikir nak posing macam mana segala. hahaha...
tu atas tu contoh ye.. Ina was before me. so, dia posing tegak je.. and saya yang "tak tau malu bertanya takut sesat jalan" tu, berposing.

come one, come all. jom lah kita menderma sambil berposing.
its fun yet memorable. RM10 je.. come laa.... it will be there sepanjang bulan October nih.

Rumah Nur Salam, Jalan Chow Kit

hari ahad lepas, kami (RedMummy, Mayangsari, Diana-K and Daela - GBMs) kecuali UmiMiaRian ke Rumah Nur Salam yang terletak di Jalan Chow Kit.
Rose a.k.a UmiMiaRian tak dapat hadir sebab keadaan Rian yang still dalam hari. :)

janji semua kena ade kat situ dalam pukul 5pm.
Yan& Bojeng convoy sekali dengan Red family from VA. kul 4:45pm derang dah sampai. hadoih la.. big boss sampai awal lah pulaaaakkk....

pas derang, Sid lak sampai. pastu, baru la ayu & mom sampai. ayu dah bagitau sid soh proceed je dulu naik, tapi bila sampai terconfuse tengok derang dok ade lagik tunggu kat bawah...
sorry la korang ek... pusing berkali2 gak sebenarnya..kalau potong masa 3 pusingan tu.. rasanya bih kurang je sampai tu.. huuhhhu

tak lama lepas tu, si Dila and her good friend, Sue sampai.. terus la operasi memunggah from bonet kete Mak Merah berjalan...

bila barang semua dah kuarkan from bonet, terus la ngangkut naik ke Rumah Nur Salam.

Rumah Nur Salam ni, kira macam shop lots lah. shop lots tiga tingkat. Yang bawah is MayFirst's office and atas dia, lagi dua level is Rumah Nur Salams.

I am very sure nama Rumah Nur Salam ni can sounds really familiar untuk kita semua. After some googling, i think it's because, ni lah rumah yang dipresent pasangan Lisdawati & Fauzi Nawawi masa rancangan sehati berdansa musim kedua dulu.
Rumah Nur Salam ni, bukan rumah anak2 yatim or rumah kebajikan yang biasa tu yer. Nur Salam ni is more like a Pusat Aktiviti Kanak2 or Pusat Jagaan Kanak2 berisiko tinggi. Apa maksudnya berisiko tinggi? *need not to elobrate more lah kot kan?*

sampai je kami di tingkat 3 rumah ni, terus kami di terpa mesra oleh derang. they will come and salam and terus introduce diri derang. sangat mudah mesra. and nampak sangat mencari perhatian daripada kami semua.

tengok je lah macam mana si Bojeng tu secepat kilat sampai 4-5 budak dok kerumun dengan dia. sebabnya, derang nampak gegirl ade dengan bojeng. so, they wanted the same attention.
the care that they didn't get from their family.

yang berbaju hitam tu is Dr.Hartini, the advisor and also one the founder untuk Rumah Nur Salam ni.

yes, they walked from their nearby home.

kami melakukan aktiviti bebas kat sini. masa kami call untuk tetapkan janji temu, memang mereka ade tanya samaada nak adakan program atau tidak...
memang sengaja kata tak nak, sebab nak make it not that formal and wants to make it as simple and as mesra as possible.

tak putus2, Dr Hartini ucapkan terima kasihnya yang tidak terhingga to Kak Red. yes, that's the sumbangan from the Car Sticker Project with RedMummy.Com.
it's not the amount that matters, its the niat, the intention.

oleh kerana tidak mahu mereka terganggu, maka, kami pun beransur lah pulang. sebab, selagi kami ade, mesti derang nak ajak main ker.. borak ker.. habis? perut derang nak diisi jugak kan?

alamak! ni jelah group photo yang ayu ade. our main group photo ade dengan Kak Red. nanti bila dia dah upload, i'll edit lah this pic ek?
all in all, we had a different paradigm all together being here and experiencing totally different environment and background.
syukur sangat dengan kehidupan yang kita ade.
walau hanya satu jam setengah di sana... dah cukup menggambarkan perbezaan nya.
kanak2 ni tanggungjawab kita semua bersama..
tak guna nak tunding jari sana sini situ sedangkan ianya umpama meludah ke langit.
dan akhirnya? timpa siapa??????
